Andrew Deaconos is Artelier’s co-owner and director of cutting and styling.
After beginning his hairdressing career in South Africa, Andrew has now been an integral part of British hairdressing for 15 years, having worked on many amazing photo shoots for well known brands and magazines.
For Andrew, the most important thing is that clients leave Artelier feeling amazing and full of confidence.
I have now been working in this amazing industry for just over 8 years. I have been lucky enough to build a loyal clientele who come to me for Balayage and Creative Lightening. I would say my signature style is soft, lived-in looks but I also love to push myself creatively.
I love what I do! Not only do I get to create beautiful hair every day but I also change how people feel about themselves. It’s such a privilege being allowed into people’s lives and gaining their trust. Hairdressing is by far the most rewarding industry to be a part of.
I love hairdressing and the opportunities it brings to enable me to be the best version of myself. Since I started my training way back in 2016 I have gained so much more confidence, I have made friends for life within the salon and I have built strong relationships with my clients.
I would honestly say that I enjoy all aspects of hairdressing but cutting and stying is definitely my passion. It is so important to listen carefully and find out as much as you can about your clients lifestyle and needs so you can tailor each service perfectly for them.
I feel like I am still just starting on my hairdressing journey and I can’t wait to share with my clients all the exciting things I have planned for the coming year!
After 20 years in the industry I still have the passion and drive to learn and expand my knowledge. My love for colour work and the creativity it brings gives me a wider perspective when it comes to giving my clients bespoke colour services. Whether it be through bold fashion colours or more subtle sun-kissed looks, each client will have a colour service to achieve the look they want.
Becoming a Great Lengths Extension Specialist allows me to offer unlimited options when it comes to using added hair for thickness, length and also to add colour. The variety my work brings every day truly excites me.
The fact that Artelier is more than a place of work makes my job so much easier. We are more than work colleagues, there is a real sense of closeness and friendship between us all.
I started working with this amazing team of people way back in 2012 and I now can't imagine being anywhere else.
I genuinely love every part of my job but I would say that I am a long hair lover! I have worked hard over the last few years perfecting my creative lightening and balayage skills and it has now become one of the services I do most of. Extension work is also a huge part of my portfolio, from bonded hair to tapes to wefts, being able to totally transform someone in the space of a few hours is truly amazing.
My family is everything to me and I have been blessed with two beautiful sons who I devote my life to, but hairdressing and Artelier is a huge part of my life that I will always be passionate about.
