With so many of our clients heading to the beach or making the most of this glorious sunshine in their garden, we thought it is important to send this gentle reminder to take care of your hair and scalp!

CAN THE SUN REALLY DO SO MUCH DAMAGE TO YOUR HAIR?
“UVB rays (the kind that burn our skin) oxidize the hair and break down the proteins in the hair that keep it healthy. The result is weaker hair and duller looking colour. The sun can also take moisture away from your hair, leaving it drier, frizzier and rougher in texture”
Regardless of how your colour is looking right now, (obviously lockdown life isn’t favouring our normally perfect and beautiful colour), we want to urge all our clients to protect your hair from the damage of too much sunshine. We need you to return to us with strong, healthy and hydrated hair that is prepared for your beautiful colour to resume!
FOLLOW THESE TIPS
/ If you have Sun Protection for your hair then make sure you apply it regularly
/ If you don’t have access to a bottle of Hair Sun Protection, wear a hat or keep your hair in the shade
/ Treat your hair to a weekly mask
/ Drink plenty of water
/ Eat lots of hair superfoods including oily fish such as salmon, foods rich in proteins such as chicken and eggs, berries which are incredible antioxidants, avocados and nuts.
